The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter is a powerful monitoring solution designed for professional broadcast, production, and post-production workflows. Supporting up to DCI 8K60 inputs via quad-link 12G-SDI, this converter outputs to USB-C DisplayPort and dual full-size DisplayPort connections, making it compatible with monitors such as the Apple 32" Pro Display XDR.
For precise color accuracy, it works with third-party calibration probes including the SpectraCal C6, X-Rite i1 Display Pro, and Klein K10-A. The converter supports SDR, PQ, and HLG HDR standards while covering Rec. 709, Rec. 2020, and 100% of the DCI-P3 format.
Professionals can overlay up to two live scopes (Waveform, Parade, Vector, or Histogram) directly on the connected display, ensuring accurate signal monitoring. Its two independent 3D LUTs allow fast switching between looks, while the built-in down-converter ensures compatibility with Ultra HD or HD monitors when 8K displays are unavailable.
Featuring an intuitive front-panel interface with LCD display, navigation knob, and six buttons, the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR offers ease of use both on set and in post. On the audio front, the device delivers two channels of analog audio via RCA connectors, along with embedded audio support for up to 16 channels on SDI loop outputs and 8 channels on HDMI outputs. This makes it suitable for multi-channel professional audio and video workflows.
The converter also supports advanced multi-rate operation, handling 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G SDI, as well as 2SI Dual Link 12G-SDI, 2SI Quad Link 12G-SDI, and Square Division Quad Link 12G-SDI standards. This versatility ensures compatibility with a wide range of broadcast and cinema equipment.
