The Teranex Mini SDI to Analog 12G features a single 12G-SDI input with SD, HD, 2K, and 4K auto-switching capabilities, alongside a 12G-SDI loop output for signal pass-through. For analog video, it offers outputs in composite, Y/C, or component formats, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of legacy equipment. Audio connectivity includes two channels of professional balanced analog audio via XLR connectors, with the right XLR configurable for timecode output. Additionally, it supports four channels of professional balanced digital audio (110Ω) via XLR connectors, also allowing the right channel to be set for timecode. The converter supports 16 channels of embedded audio and automatically switches between SD, HD, 2K, and 4K signals. Updates and configuration can be handled via USB or Ethernet, and the device includes SDI reclocking for signal integrity.

In terms of standards, the Teranex Mini supports SD video (525i59.94 NTSC, 625i50 PAL), a full range of HD formats up to 1080p60, 2K DCI formats, Ultra HD up to 2160p60, and 4K DCI up to 25p. It complies with SMPTE standards for SDI transmission and supports multiple video sampling formats including 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, with audio sampling at 48 kHz, 24-bit. Analog output adheres to REC 601 and REC 709 color spaces with YUV 4:2:2 and RGB 4:4:4 precision in HD, 2K, and 4K. The unit also includes HD down conversion for compatibility with lower-resolution displays.

For software integration, the converter allows control and firmware updates via Mac and Windows applications through USB or Ethernet. Basic settings can be adjusted via mini switches, USB, or Ethernet, while an optional front-mounted Smart Panel with LCD and rotary knob provides more advanced controls.

The Teranex Mini is powered through a built-in international AC power supply (IEC C14 inlet, 100–240V AC input) or via PoE+ (48V DC over Ethernet). It consumes 16 watts of power and operates within a voltage range of 100–240V AC.

Environmental Specifications

The unit operates in temperatures from 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F) and can be stored between -20° to 60°C (-4° to 140°F). It supports a relative humidity range of 0% to 90% non-condensing, making it suitable for a variety of professional environments.
