The Teranex Mini SDI Distribution 12G features a single 12G-SDI input that supports SD, HD, 2K, and 4K auto-switching, with compatibility for a wide range of recommended cables for Blackmagic 12G-SDI products. It offers eight 12G-SDI outputs that automatically match the incoming SDI signal format. Embedded audio is supported with up to 16 channels, and the unit provides full multi-rate support, enabling automatic switching between SD, HD, 2K, and 4K formats. Updates and configuration can be performed via USB or Ethernet, and the device includes SDI re-clocking for signal integrity.

Standards
This unit supports a comprehensive range of broadcast video formats. SD standards include 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL. HD standards include 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, 1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60, and progressive formats from 1080p23.98 to 1080p60. It also supports PsF formats from 1080PsF23.98 to 1080PsF30. For 2K, it is compatible with DCI formats at progressive and PsF frame rates of 23.98, 24, and 25 fps. Ultra HD formats range from 2160p23.98 to 2160p60, and 4K DCI formats include 4Kp23.98, 4Kp24, and 4Kp25. The device complies with multiple SMPTE standards, including SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 372M, 424M, 425M (Level A and B), 2081-1, 2081-10, 2082-1, and 2082-10.

SDI Signal Specifications
SDI video rates are switchable between SD, HD Level A and Level B 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI. Video sampling supports both 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, while audio sampling adheres to television broadcast standards at 48 kHz, 24-bit. The unit accommodates both YUV and RGB color spaces.

Software
The Teranex Mini SDI Distribution 12G can be configured and upgraded using the supplied software for Mac™ and Windows™ systems. Internal software upgrades are managed via the included updater application. It is compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina, macOS 11.1 Big Sur or later, and Windows 10 (64-bit). Basic settings control can be accessed via mini switches, USB, or Ethernet using the free utility software. For advanced control, an optional front-mounted Smart Panel is available, featuring an LCD, rotary knob, and six settings buttons.

Power Requirements
The unit includes a built-in international AC power supply with an IEC C14 inlet, operating within a 100–240V AC range. It can also be powered via 48V DC using PoE+ (Power over Ethernet). Power consumption is rated at 16 watts, with an operational voltage range of 100–240V AC.

Environmental Specifications
Designed for professional environments, the Teranex Mini operates between 0° and 40°C (32° to 104°F) and can be stored between -20° and 60°C (-4° to 140°F). It supports relative humidity levels from 0% to 90% non-condensing.
