Connections

The Mini Converter SDI to HDMI 6G is equipped with one SD, HD, or 6G-SDI video input and an ALT SDI input for automatic switchover in case the main input fails. It includes one SDI video loop output and an HDMI Type A output for direct connection to HDMI devices. Audio output options include two channels of balanced analog audio and two channels of AES/EBU digital audio. The SDI redundant input ensures uninterrupted operation by automatically switching if the primary SDI signal is lost. Multi-rate support enables automatic detection of SD, HD, or 6G-SDI signals. Updates and configuration can be performed via USB, and reclocking is supported for signal stability.

The SDI interface complies with SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 372M, SMPTE ST-2081, as well as ITU-R BT.656 and ITU-R BT.601 standards. SDI video rates are automatically detected between standard definition and high definition formats.

Software Control & Updates

The converter supports configuration and updates via Mac OS and Windows through USB. Compatible operating systems include Mac OS 10.15 Catalina or later, and Windows 10 (64-bit). Firmware updates can be performed using the included updater application. Settings can be adjusted via mini switches or USB software.

Power Requirements

The device includes a +12V universal power supply with international socket adapters and a cable tie point. It operates within a voltage range of 12V to 18V DC and has a power consumption of 5.2 watts.
