Connections

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K features 1 x SD, HD, or 6G-SDI input along with 1 x ALT SDI input for automatic switchover in case the main input fails. It includes 1 x SDI loop output and supports analog video outputs in NTSC, PAL, S-Video, and component SD/HD formats derived from the 6G-SDI input. For audio, it offers 2 channels of professional balanced analog audio via standard 1/4-inch jacks and 2 channels of professional balanced digital audio with the same connection type. The SDI redundant input ensures uninterrupted operation by switching automatically if the main SDI signal is lost. Multi-rate support enables auto-detection of SD, HD, or 6G-SDI signals, and updates or configuration can be handled via USB. Reclocking is also supported for signal integrity.

Standards

SD Video Standards include 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL.
HD Video Standards cover a wide range, including 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, 1080p23.98 up to 1080p60, PsF formats from 23.98 to 30, and interlaced formats 1080i50 to 1080i60.
2K Video Standards include 2K DCI 23.98p, 24p, 25p, as well as PsF variations.
Ultra HD Video Standards supported are 2160p23.98, 2160p24, 2160p25, 2160p29.97, and 2160p30.
4K Video Standards include 4K DCI 23.98p, 24p, and 25p.

The device complies with SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 372M, SMPTE ST-2081, ITU-R BT.656, and ITU-R BT.601 standards. SDI video rates are auto-detected between SD and HD. Video sampling is at 4:2:2, with audio sampling at 48 kHz / 24-bit in YUV color space. SDI auto-switching detects both SD and HD formats.

Analog Support and Conversion

The converter supports analog formats including 525i59.94 NTSC, 625i50 PAL, 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, 1080p23.98 up to 1080p30, and 1080i50 to 1080i60. The analog color space is YUV with 4:2:2 color precision. It also offers HD down-conversion for compatibility with lower-resolution displays.

Software and Control

The device can be configured and upgraded using Mac™ and Windows™ software via USB. Internal software upgrades are available through the included updater application. It is compatible with Mac OS 10.15 Catalina and above as well as Windows 10 (64-bit). Users can control settings via mini switches or USB-based software control.

Power Requirements

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K comes with a +12V universal power supply that includes international socket adapters and a cable tie point for secure connections. Power consumption is 8.04 Watts, with an operational voltage range of 12-31V DC.

Environmental Specifications

The operating temperature range is 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F), while storage temperature ranges from -20° to 45°C (-4° to 113°F). It supports 0% to 90% non-condensing relative humidity.
