Connections

The Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G features two SDI video outputs that automatically match the SD, HD, or 6G-SDI HDMI video input. It includes a HDMI type A input, two channels of professional balanced analog audio inputs with standard 1/4-inch jack connections, and two channels of AES/EBU digital audio inputs. The converter supports auto detection for SD, HD, and 6G-SDI formats, and can be updated or configured via USB. Built-in reclocking ensures optimal signal integrity.

The SDI interface is compliant with SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 372M, SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 425M, SMPTE ST-2081, and ITU standards BT.656 and BT.601. SDI video rates are automatically detected between SD, HD, 3G-SDI, and 6G-SDI, with Level B support on 3G-SDI outputs.

Format Conversion

The Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G supports HD down-conversion, making it compatible with a variety of workflows and display requirements.

Software Control & Updates

The device can be controlled and updated using Mac OS or Windows via USB. Compatible operating systems include Mac OS 10.15 Catalina or later, and Windows 10 (64-bit). Updates are applied via the included updater application. Control is available through mini switches or USB software.

Power Requirements

The converter comes with a +12V universal power supply with international socket adapters and a cable tie point. It consumes 4.44W and operates within a voltage range of 12V to 18V DC.
