The Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G is equipped with 1 SDI video input and 1 SDI loop output for seamless signal pass-through. For HDMI output, it features 1 HDMI 2.0 Type-A port, enabling high-quality video output. Supporting SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G, the converter offers full multi-rate compatibility with automatic detection of SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD, and 4K formats. A USB Type-C port is provided for updates, configuration, and power.
Video Standards
In SD, the converter supports 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL. For HD formats, it accommodates resolutions up to 1080p60, including progressive, interlaced, and PsF modes. 2K DCI formats from 23.98 fps to 60 fps are supported, along with PsF variations. Ultra HD is supported from 2160p23.98 up to 2160p60, and 4K DCI standards are covered from 24 fps to 60 fps.
Compliance & Video Rates
This model complies with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 424M, 425M, 2081-1, 2081-10, 2082-1, 2082-10, 2084, and 2108-1 standards. SDI video connections can switch between SD, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, 2K DCI, Ultra HD, and 4K DCI formats. Automatic format detection supports SD, HD, 3G-SDI (level A or B), 2K DCI, Ultra HD, and 4K DCI.
Color Processing
Both SDI and HDMI outputs deliver 4:2:2 color precision in YUV color space. The device also supports loading a 33-point LUT via the software utility, allowing precise color calibration or enhancement for professional monitoring.
HDMI Output Standards
HDMI output matches the SDI-supported formats, including SD (NTSC/PAL), HD resolutions up to 1080p60, Ultra HD up to 2160p60, and 4K DCI up to 60 fps. HDMI also supports 4:2:2 color precision in YUV color space and benefits from the same 33-point LUT calibration capabilities as the SDI output.
Control & Software
The converter is controlled via the MacOS and Windows software utility connected through USB. It supports Mac 10.15 Catalina, Mac 11.1 Big Sur or later, and Windows 10 (64-bit). Firmware updates can be installed through the USB interface.
Power Requirements
The unit consumes a maximum of 4W and operates within a voltage range of 4.4V to 5.25V DC, making it highly power-efficient.
Environmental Specifications
