Connections

The Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 3G features two SDI video outputs that support SD, HD, or 3G-SDI, automatically matching the HDMI input. It includes one HDMI Type-A input and supports auto detection of SD or HD signals. The device also offers a USB Type-C port for updates, configurations, and power supply. Integrated reclocking ensures reliable signal transmission.

Video Standards and Compliance

For SDI video, the converter supports 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL formats. HD video compatibility includes 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, as well as 1080p formats ranging from 23.98 to 60 fps, and 1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60. It complies with SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 424M, and SMPTE 425M standards. SDI video rates are switchable between SD and HD, with user-selectable level A and B for 3G-SDI via setup utility.

The device processes SDI video in 4:2:2 color precision and YUV color space, with automatic detection of SD, HD, and 3G-SDI formats.

HDMI Standards

The HDMI input supports 525i29.97 NTSC, 625i50 PAL, 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, and multiple 1080p formats from 23.98 to 60 fps, as well as 1080i50, 1080i59.94, and 1080i60. HDMI video is processed in 4:2:2 color precision and YUV color space. Please note, the HDMI input cannot capture from copy-protected sources.

Settings & Software Control

Configuration and control are available via a MacOS™ or Windows™ software utility connected through USB. The device supports MacOS 10.15 Catalina and MacOS 11.1 Big Sur or later, as well as Windows 10 (64-bit). Internal software upgrades can be performed via USB.

Power Requirements

The Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 3G operates at a power consumption of 2 W, with an operational voltage range of 4.4V to 5.25V DC.

Environmental Specifications

Operating temperature ranges from 0° to 40° C (32° to 104° F), while storage temperature spans -20° to 60° C (-4° to 140° F). The device supports 0% to 90% non-condensing relative humidity.
