Camera Features

The camera features dual native ISO at 0dB and 18dB gain, delivering a sensitivity of f11 at 2160p59.94 and f12 at 2160p50 under 2,000 lux with 89.9% reflectance. Signal-to-noise ratio reaches 64.62dB for 2160p Ultra HD scaled from 5.3K.

Recording and Frame Rates

Supported recording resolutions include 6K (6144 x 3456) up to 50fps, 6K 2.4:1 (6144 x 2560) up to 60fps, 5.3K 16:9 (5376 x 3024) up to 60fps, and Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) up to 60fps. Project frame rates of 23.98 to 60fps are available, with off-speed frame rates ranging from 5-50fps in 6K and 5-60fps in other resolutions. Four-position ND filters offer clear, 2-stop, 4-stop, and 6-stop IR ND options.

Display and Controls

A 7-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD capacitive touchscreen with 2000 nits brightness provides clear monitoring. Physical controls include a rotary settings dial, program button, three customizable function buttons (F1-F3), and dedicated brightness, contrast, and peaking dials.

Mounting Options

The camera provides 2 x 1/4-inch and 1 x 3/8-inch tripod mounts for flexible rigging.

Connections

Connectivity includes 1 x SDI input and 1 x SDI output supporting 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G rates, plus 1 x HDMI 2.0 output. Audio connections feature 2 x XLR inputs (switchable mic/line with phantom power), 1 x 3.5mm stereo input (also for timecode), 1 x 5-pin XLR for talkback, and 1 x 3.5mm TRRS headphone/mic jack. SDI outputs carry two channels of program audio and talkback on channels 15 and 16. Reference input is supported via Tri-Sync or Black Burst when using the optional Blackmagic Studio Converter. Audio and Streaming

An integrated stereo microphone and built-in mono speaker provide on-camera audio capabilities. Media and Codecs

Recording is supported via USB-C expansion ports to external drives, with media formatted in ExFAT or HFS+. Codecs include Blackmagic RAW at multiple constant bitrate (3:1, 5:1, 8:1, 12:1) and constant quality (Q0, Q1, Q3, Q5) settings across all resolutions. Storage rate requirements vary by resolution and compression ratio.

Control and Network Features

Control options include Blackmagic Zoom and Focus Demand accessories, SDI/HDMI/Ethernet remote control, and REST API control over Ethernet or USB Ethernet.
