Connections

The Cloud Store Mini 8TB includes high-speed connectivity options ideal for collaborative media environments. It features 1 x 10G BASE-T Ethernet port supporting 100/1000/10G connections, and 1 x 1G Ethernet port for standard 100/1000 BASE-T network access. Additionally, a USB-C 3.0 port (up to 5Gb/s) is available, supporting Ethernet over USB for flexible configuration and updates. For monitoring, it includes 1 x HDMI output to connect a display.

Computer Interface

You can configure and access the Cloud Store Mini using either USB-C or Ethernet, enabling shared file access and remote software updates across networks.

File Sharing Protocol

The device uses the SMB (Server Message Block) protocol for file sharing, supporting up to 50 simultaneous computer connections, making it suitable for small to mid-sized creative teams.

Cloud Synchronization

The Cloud Store Mini supports global file sync via Blackmagic Cloud and integrates with Amazon Web Services S3, allowing seamless cloud-based collaboration across multiple locations.

Storage

Internally, the system utilizes M.2 NVMe SSD storage for high-speed performance and efficiency. The total storage capacity is 8TB, offering ample space for professional video projects, raw files, and collaborative workflows.

Displays

The HDMI monitor output supports resolutions of 1080p50, 1080p59.94, and 1080p60, and displays real-time status info, including device name, storage capacity and usage, cloud sync status, user activity, hardware performance, a network data rate graph, and a visual storage map.

Status Indicator

A front panel LED light provides visual feedback on the system status: white indicates normal operation, while red alerts users to disk faults.

Device Control

External control and software updates are handled via USB-C or Ethernet, ensuring flexible management and system access.

Software

Included software:

• Blackmagic Proxy Generator Lite
  Firmware and internal software updates are handled through the Cloud Setup Utility over USB-C.
